We ordered Jota, Frittata ale erbe, Gnocchi with meat sauce, Frico cheese, one liter of white house wine, Torta alla crema, Tiramisu, Tortino al chocolate and Strudel di mele. Everything was very delicious. ( My favorite was Frittata, Frico, Tiramisu and Tortino). Wine was surprisingly good and very easy to drink.

The vibe, atmosphere is fantastic. The place is managed by the lady owner - Mrs. Mara. It’s tiny, cozy, with homemade food and the spirit like you are visiting your beloved grandma. All dishes were fantastic. Highly recommend digestive - homemade grappa prepared by Mrs. Mara. The highlight of the day. Gracias

Rule no. 1: Make a reservation! So, the staff was kind enough to accommodate us, even though we didn't have a reservation. The food was EXCELLENT! Truly delicious. We had the bread gnocchi with goulash, the pig jaw and an appetizer of local meats. All were 10/10! Pricing was quite fair as well. All in all, I highly recommend them in order to experience true local home cooking.

Place is very quiet and cosy, away from all the fuss in the city center. Traditional food, nice place, and friendly staff - perfect. Portions could be a bit bigger, but everything was delicious. We tried a few dishes and they were all deliscious, as well as the house red wine.

Nice local place, with friendly service and good food.We had discovered the dish ‘gnocchi di pane’ 2 nights ago, in a different restaurant and felt like having it again and searched for a restaurant that had that on the menu and we found that in ‘Mara’.The goulash, which came with the gnocchi, was better than in the other restaurant, but we liked the gnocchi itself, more the first time Because we had a big lunch, we shared the dish, with some vegetables on the side. Those were very overcooked. As dessert we shared a chocolate lava cake, that was very nice.I missed some music, for some extra atmosphere. And again, like we experienced in the afternoon too, somewhere else, they had a hole in the ground as a toilet, really oldskool, not really convenient for elderly guests.Overall a nice place worth going too for the traditional food.

Homemade food cooked like your grandma would make it. If you are looking at this and the restaurant is open you should go for it as it only opens a few hours 3 days a week. Try to book in advance, but they are very welcoming and accommodating.
